Founded in 1952, the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) is a nonprofit organization for students enrolled in associate, baccalaureate, diploma, and generic graduate nursing programs.  The association mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the profession by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, and career guidance.  Each nursing school has their own NSNA organization.  For more information go to www.nsna.org

The NSNA chapter of BHSN encourages all students to participate in monthly NSNA meetings and activities.  The goal is to facilitate activities and programs that support not only our students but the surrounding communities.  NSNA has:

  • Facilitated a local food drive for the Catholic Charities Food Bank here in Brockton.
  • Participated in Disaster Relief drives for various natural disasters
  • Toy drives for the holiday season in the South Shore area including sending toys to the siblings of the Sandy Hook School students.
  • Holiday Christmas Party for students
  • Raffle basket giveaways
  • Wellness kits that were passed out to students during the height of the flu epidemic

And so much more.  If you have an idea, suggestion, concern or want to get involved please contact  your class representative or come to an NSNA meeting.
