1. When will I receive my bill?
Bills are issued for students approximately two months prior to the start of a semester, with a payable date of one month prior to the start. BHSN uses a paperless student billing system. All students will be notified via e-mail when a bill is available online to view and/or print.
2. How can payments be made?
Debit or credit card payments are the preferred method of payment, but must be made by the card holder. Payments by card may be made in person or over the phone with Michelle MacNeil 508-941-7047 or Sue Wade 508-941-7039 until 4 pm. Cash is not accepted as a form of payment. We will also accept checks and money orders payable to BHSN. Please include your name and student ID number on the check. A Credit Card Authorization Form can be downloaded from the Payment Information section.
3. Can my parents get a copy of the Bill?
We do not mail statements out; you must go on NursingNet to print your statement.
4. When is payment due?
One month prior to the start of classes. The date will appear on the tuition statement.
5. Do you offer a payment plan?
Students wishing to take part in the Budget Payment Plan must contact the Bursar’s Office to set up an appointment prior to the payable date on the statement. There is a one-time fee of $25 which is due by the payable date along with 25% of the statement balance. Three additional payments of 25% each will be due approximately 30, 60 & 90 days after the original payable date.
6. What if the payment is late?
Please make sure all payments are received by the due date. If payment is not received by the due date, a $50.00 late fee may be assessed to the bill.
7. How do I know my refund check is available?
Students who have overpaid their bill as a result of financial aid, scholarships, or other payments will be issued a refund.
Students will receive a paper check which will be mailed to their address of record when available. All refunds are made payable to the student or their parent if the refund is the result of a Parent Plus Loan.
8. Can anyone receive information on my bill?
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects a student’s confidentiality with regard to their records at BHSN, including financial information. BHSN requires a student’s express consent to release financial information to anyone other than the student – this includes parents and third party payers. Students are encouraged to fill out a FERPA waiver, which will allow us to discuss your bill with parties you authorize. The FERPA waiver is available through the Registrar’s Office. A student is able to designate the person(s) to whom they give permission to discuss their bill.
9. Why isn’t my financial aid award on my bill?
If your awards are not listed on your bill, please contact the Bursar to review your statement.
10. I have called several times and the telephones are busy.
The Bursar’s Office experiences peak periods during which time numerous phone calls will come into the office daily. Given the high volume of calls, there may be times when it is difficult to reach the Bursar.
You can e-mail the Bursar’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions. Please include your student ID.
